OUR HISTORY
    The company was conceptualized basically from Iraq when Mr. HameedMukhlif established its own International Trading Company that supplies food products elsewhere in the world. Being the home of the old civilizations it started to import and export goods way back 1980.
Abdul Haleem Hameed being the 3rd son in the family, at the very young age was able to witness and devote his time to his father’s business. He started to learn every aspect of the business from purchasing the goods up to closing some business deals outside the country.

    After learning all aspect in business, he decided to have his own trading company, the Al Qaswaa Food Trading in 1996 particularly in Baghdad City, Iraq. The business started to trade food products like; water, rice, juice, sugar, dates, nuts and many others. It was seen to have its rapid growth because of its cheaper price and with good quality, thus making the market becomes bigger and bigger.

   Most of the products that were brought to Iraq are basically coming from Dubai, UAE, thus, this is the mere reason that the owner decided to open a company in Dubai to cater all the needs for negotiation, shipment, and facilitation for all products to be exported to Iraq.

    In 2004, Mr. Abdul Haleem changed the name of the company from Al Qaswaa Food Trading to Al Baraa Abdul Haleem General Trading L.L.C. Since then, Al Baraa became the center for trading goods from different countries such as; Portugal, Italy, Holland, China, Thailand, Malaysia, Austria and Spain going to Iraq. In every year the company has new products like; Danesita Biscuits, Lady Finger, SumolCompal Juice, Chabaa Juice, Lacnor Juice, Juicy Juice, Black Falcon energy Drink which is our owned Brand, Juices with basil seeds, Vinegar with different varieties, Ketchup, mayonnaise and other sauces, Chickpeas and white beans in a bottle.

    As years passed by and as the business has been continuing to progress, In 2010 he decided to open a new company in Dubai named Dalyan Exhibition Organizing L.L.C. Its’ mission was to bring Iraqi’s best to the world of business through uniting the best entrepreneurs by way of participating with UAE’s one of the biggest festival in Dubai and for 3 consecutive years, Dalyan Exhibition Organizing L.L.C was the organizer of the Iraqi Pavillion at Global Village. As our company desire for the Iraqi to be distinct and exceptional from among the rest, we were able to bring the best products and the best entrepreneurs straight from Iraq.

   From then on, the company decided to diversify its properties, In 2013 we opened new companies in Ajman, Toronto Trading FZE and in Dubai ;Sniper General Trading L.L.C- a money exchange company. Moreover, on the same year we opened Smart Palace Building Materials L.L.C- for trading of construction and building materials to IRAQ and UAE. It is also the sole supplier of the soon-to-rise Commercial Tower in Jumeirah Village Circle, Dubai, UAE and Hotel Apartment in Erbil, Iraq which is both owned by the CEO of the Al Baraa Group.

    In 2015, we purchased a new parcel of land located in Industrial Area in Um Al Qwuain. On the same year, weexpanded our business and opened two (2) new companies. It brought the existence of AL MAIDA FACTORY and AL ATHIR GENERAL TRADING LLC.

    Al Maida factory come to its existence when Al Baraa Group has decided to finally invest its own factory that produces variety of products through processing and packaging of rice, milk, cooking oil, Lentils, white peas, almonds,green peas and Chick Peas. Recently our factory is being built on our land at Um Al Qwain and soon to be finished by 3rd quarter of 2016.

    On the other hand, Al Athir General Trading was established for the sole purpose as the authorized distributor of all products from Al Maida Factory.

    Our company has been growing as time passes by. It is our main goal to continually provide our client the best product we can offer in the market. Our growth depicts how we do business, how we take care of our clients, how we maintain our good relationship with our supplier, how generous we are to our employees, how socially responsible we are, and most importantly how we value our stakeholders.
